Government launches community works to apply Urea and DAP fertilisers
This week, from November 1st, 2022, the Government of Rwanda launched community works to apply Urea and DAP fertilisers on crops while also irrigating crops in areas that faced shortage of rains.
These activities were intensified across the country, with Cabinet ministers, provincial governors, mayors, members of security organs, and other senior officials joining farmers in their fields with the aim to increase productivity in the current agricultural season 2023A.
The Government of Rwanda has subsidised 100% the DAP and Urea fertilisers being applied on selected consolidated crop plantations.
