Minister Mukeshimana urges Africa youth to embrace agriculture
On Friday, October 14, 2022, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Gerardine Mukeshimana, addressed the youth gathered at the #YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2022 in Kigali.
Minister Mukeshimana told youth delegates gathered at the continent’s largest annual youth convention that they should “embrace agriculture sector not because it is the backbone of our economies but, because it is its oxygen”.
"I encourage the youth to look for educational and training opportunities in the agriculture sector in order to gain marketable skills that will give them employment opening in the food systems." She urged African youth.
