MINISTER MUSAFIRI OUTLINES PRIORITIES IN AGRICULTURE SECTOR
The Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr Ildephonse Musafiri, has outlined priorities in the agriculture sector in Rwanda as the country works to ensure food security.
In an exclusive interview with The New Times held in Kigali on 29th August, 2023, Hon. Musafiri talks about his vision for the agriculture sector in Rwanda and also how current challenges for the sector will be addressed.
Among other things, the minister emphasizes that “it's very important to tell the private people that investing in a sector that contributes an average of 25% of GDP is investing in a sector that matters; it means you’re investing in a sector that has the money and that you can be sure you’ll make money”.
